Sinixt Confederacy

The Sinixt, a transboundary indigenous Tribe in the United States and an Aboriginal People of Canada, wanted a website to act as a one-stop resource of high-quality and accessible information for anyone who is looking to learn more about the Sinixt people and culture.

Working closely with a project manager and a team of content experts, I developed a website full of high-quality resources – from important documents to videos to maps – that provide a portrait of who the Sinixt are as people, a deep sense of grounding in their territory and a strong assertion of the Sinixt claim thorough historical documents and information about the Desautel Decision.

The visuals on the website reflect the vibrant culture, rich history and stunning geography of their territory. The content was developed to be accessible to a wide range of audiences, from Sinixt community members to students to residents of the Columbia Basin. The content easy to read and skim with many links to existing resources, including important documents from the Sinixt’s landmark Supreme court case.

The completed website is a visually appealing and easy to access, full of stunning imagery and rich information and important resources, that reflects the brilliance and perseverance of the Sinixt people.
